The solar installation project at HSBC Bank in Georgetown, Penang, has been successfully completed. This outright purchase initiative, with a total capacity of 58.5 kWp, took approximately 18 days to finish. The project began with a thorough site assessment to identify the best locations for the solar panels on the rooftop.
Once the optimal layout was established, the team proceeded with the installation, which included mounting the solar panels, setting up inverters, and integrating the system with the bank’s electrical grid. All work was executed efficiently, ensuring minimal disruption to the bank’s operations.
Upon completion, comprehensive testing was carried out to confirm that the system operates safely and effectively. Additionally, training sessions were provided to HSBC staff to familiarize them with the system’s operation and maintenance. This project not only enhances the bank’s sustainability efforts by reducing its carbon footprint but also promises substantial savings on electricity costs moving forward.
